My Time on Council

In the Municipal election in 2021 the residents of ward 9 in Fredericton entrusted me to serve them on Fredericton City Council.  I am grateful for the opportunity and have accepted the responsibility whole heartedly.

The learning curve has been steep, and I am proud of my work.

I am the Chair of the Livable Community Committee, this committee is primarily concerned with the quality of parks and recreation facilities and programs in Fredericton, and receives reports from the Social Inclusion, Youth and Age Friendly advisory committees.

Over this term I have been the Council rep on the Anti-Racism Task Force, the Social Inclusion Committee and Co Chair of the Community Post Secondary Relations Committee.

I have served on every standing committee; this has allowed me to stay up to date and part of all conversation and decisions made on Council.

Most important has been the connection with residents.  I have remained committed to my promise to be ready to listen and ready to act.  I respond diligently to resident concerns and collaborate with staff to find the best path forward.  I have held multiple community gatherings, some with both MLA partners repressing ward 9, small group meetings in apartment and condo buildings, one on one coffee meetings, calls and emails; all to stay connected and informed on the will of residents.
